Prepare: Think of what you want designed. Have all your information together at one time before you hand it off to the designer. This will save you time and money. If you don’t have a clear idea of what you want done that’s okay too. Discuss your options with the designer. If you are still coming up bland then you can use these magic words, “Go ahead and surprise me with what you think I might like”. Then we at least have a starting point to proceed with what you like and don’t like.
Contact: Set up an appointment to discuss your project needs with the designer at Uniquely Yours Design Studio. Then let the designing begin.
Communicate: Being available to relay information and answer questions along the way. This is very important for both the designer and client. The phone, email, and Skype are all viable ways to relay information back and forth.
Budget: All projects are considered important no matter the size, big or small. Making changes is normal. Going back and forth with information is a necessary part of the design process, however the more changes you make the more time it takes. This can increase your hourly charge. The end goal is to do it up right and in the most cost efficient manner. Returning satisfied clients is the goal.
Proof: Before your job is finalized, look over your proposed design. Read through ALL the text (dates, info, captions, etc). Is everything correct? I will proofread it as well, but two sets of eyes are better than one.
Completion: The client will be handed off an electronic file or a hard copy of their final design.
