I received my B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree in Graphic Design from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. My design goal was to start out designing for a big business and to work my way into my own smaller design studio. Just out of college, I interned in the design department at General Mills, where I got hands-on experience with everything from photo shoots to ad layouts. After my internship was completed, I continued to work for General Mills as a freelance designer.
Moving to a smaller, more hands-on design experience, I worked as an in-house designer for NDSU (North Dakota State University) in their publications department. There I worked closely with clients, other designers, photographers, writers, and print professionals.
In 1998, it was time for the big jump, and I officially started up my own design studio -- a dream come true! I’ve been designing for businesses and non-profit organizations ever since.
Currently, I live with my family in central North Dakota. With today’s modern technology and conveniences, I’m just a call or click away from the next design project.
